Inspirational Speakers
Anita Jacoby AM
Anita Jacoby is a passionate advocate for women in leadership and media, as well as a renowned Australian television producer. Her storytelling prowess has illuminated influential lives and significant news stories. Anita chairs the ABC Advisory Council and Women in Media, has authored Secrets Beyond the Screen, and has been honored with numerous awards, including five AFI’s/AACTA’s, a Logie, and the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Award.
Cheryl Barker AO
Cheryl Barker is a celebrated opera singer known for her performances in leading opera houses worldwide. Her notable roles include Madama Butterfly and Salome. As an Officer of the Order of Australia, she holds an Honorary Doctorate of Music and serves as the Co-Artistic Director of Pacific Opera Studios Young Artists Program, as well as a mentor for Opera Australia’s Young Artists Program.
Heather Ewart
Heather Ewart began her career as an ABC cadet in 1977 and has become one of the national public broadcaster’s most accomplished presenters, most recently hosting Back Roads. As the ABC’s first female foreign correspondent, she covered federal politics in the 1980s. Heather served on the Walkley Board and judged excellence in journalism for six years, and she authored the best-selling book The Great Aussie Road Trip.
