This year’s Black & White Ball to be held at Sydney Town Hall promises to be more spectacular than ever. Celebrating its 75th year, the Black & White Ball is one of Sydney’s most glamorous social events. Steeped in tradition, from its 1930’s roots at the Trocadero, the event still celebrates the mock Derby horse race and Fashions in the Field competition as the ball was originally held in Sydney during the Spring Racing Carnival.

Black & White Women of Achievement Lunch 2011

Dame Edna Everage, arguably Australian’s best-known woman, will star at this year’s Black and White Committee’s Women of Achievement Lunch.
Also sharing the stage with the irrepressible Dame will be distinguished art educator and former director of the National Art Gallery of Australia, Betty Churcher, and the Governor of NSW, Professor Marie Bashir, who will be guest-of-honour.
