The Black & White Ball is the enduring champion of Sydney’s social events.  From its early origins at the Trocadero in the 1930s to the modern day, this glamorous event has raised much needed awareness and funds for blind and low vision children and young people.

The Black & White Committee are pleased to welcome Orion Expedition Cruises as major sponsor for this year’s Ball, which promises to be an evening of fine dining, entertainment, music and of course the traditional Derby mock horse race and Fashions in the Field competition.

This year will also feature a special performance from Dancing with the Stars inspiration Gerrard Gosens and Jessica Raffa, along with a ballroom dance extravaganza and the Peter McDonald Band with Foster & Jackson.

All proceeds will support the Children’s Services of Vision Australia who provide a range of counselling, therapy and training services free of charge to children and their families.  Children without sight experience a range of difficulties including difficulty bonding with their parents, dependency and unemployment later in life.  A child may not even develop the strength to brush its teeth or hold its head up without external stimuli to encourage them to crawl and walk.

A wonderful range of prizes have been generously donated for the Black & White Auction, Raffle and the Derby jockeys and owners and fashions in the field. Major prizes include:
